Natlan – Full Description of Pyro Region Genshin Impact

Natlan is the sixth playable region in Genshin Impact and the penultimate region on the Teyvat map. It can be found in the southwestern part of the map. It was inspired by the countries and cultures of Latin America, even in pre-Columbian times. In particular, the Aztec and Mayan tribes became a striking aesthetic example – in the language of the former, the name of the region is translated as “land of nata”.

The inhabitants of this region are called Muratans, or those who worship the goddess of war and former Pyro Archon Murata. This region is known for its constant conflicts. The Archon is chosen here through internal battles – Mavuika, the current Pyro Archon, led the fiery region with her passion for battle.

Let’s take a walk through this new territory and see its potential.

Near the Abyss, to the west of Sumeru, there is a land of constant wars. The conflicts began a thousand years before the events of the game. Only the warrior Tenoch with an obsidian club at the ready wandered the region and gathered an army to confront evil. Together with Wanjiru, Menelik, Sanjah Compore, Burkin, Sundiata and Tupac, representatives of six nations, he went to the mountains of darkness. There the battle took place, uniting the tribes of Natlan.

After some time, a tyrant took over the region, managing to drive the inhabitants apart and plunge the territory into darkness. The sacred fire that illuminated Natlan and gave hope went out, and the Saurians, the elemental patrons, were left without people. A new team that tied all the tribes together was a young man with burning eyes, the twins Atawallpa and Vaskar, the warrior Yupanka, and a talented craftsman. They freed the Saurians, defeated the tyrant, and built a new city on the ruins of the old one.

Pilgrimage of the Sacred Flame

Bordering the Abyss, Natlan is forced to protect itself with the Eternal Sacred Flame. It is kindled when the region hosts competitions, feeding it with the spirit of competition and the courage of warriors of old.

In order to unite all six tribes, identify their strongest warriors and send them to battle the Abyss, a Pilgrimage is held in Natlan. The rules stipulate that teams compete in the first round, and the second round is an individual competition.

How to get to Natlan

After finishing Fontaine’s storyline and downloading patch 5.0, you will have access to the quest “Flowers under the scorching sun”. This is the first chapter of the fifth volume of Archon quests or the game’s storyline. It begins in the port of Romarin, where old friends from the Hydro region, namely Furina, Navia and Clorinda, lead us to new adventures.

If you want to explore a new region ahead of the story, head towards the Hadramawet Desert in Sumeru. This is the only region that Natlan shares a border with as of patch 5.0. The symbol for the transition from one region to another is a small river. To quickly get to the new territories, open the map and find an undiscovered area and a teleport point near the desert.

Climate

Natlan is called a resort region for everyone. The green grass, the height of the rocks and trees are simply breathtaking. The mountain formations are painted with colorful graffiti. Deep canyons and lava rivers neighbor the cool oasis. These places are inspired by the vastness of North and South America, where red sandstone cliffs gradually turn into tropical beauty of the coastal areas.

The Kin People live in the Southern Islands, inspired by Hawaii. The climate here is not so hot, but very humid. Here you can relax comfortably, surf and admire the water surface.

There are special elemental elements in Natlan, Pyrocules, which we use to upgrade the Statue of the Seven Archons in this region. There are 271 of them in version 5.0.

To find the one closest to you, craft a Pyrocule Echo Stone in Alchemy.

Ingredients:

  • Quenepa berry x5;
  • Sea feather x5;
  • Crystal Fragment x1.

Population

The Natlans are divided into six tribes, each with its own unique rules. This is due to the habitat and element of its members. In version 5.0, we were shown three tribes and their representatives. Mualani introduced herself as a member of the Folk of the Springs, Kachina from the Children of the Echo, and Kinich came from the Descendants of Kron.

Another important feature of the inhabitants of Natlan is ancient names. The heirs of great heroes who defended their native lands got into the annals, being reborn as descendants. Here the song about Samsara and “The cycle of people, oh, mama…” should play. Therefore, formally, the owners of ancient names cannot die, so that they can fight back the Abyss again in a moment of need. But, unfortunately, if the owner of an ancient name falls in battle, the ancient name and the memory of the hero are erased in eternity.

Children of Echo

A tribe living in the Tequemekán Valley. Belongs to the owners of the Geo-element. Engaged in the extraction and processing of minerals. Lives mainly in canyons and caves to be closer to work. The colors in clothing and exterior are predominantly yellow.

The People of Rodnikov

The native inhabitants of the Southern islands, in the area of the Toyek streams. They belong to the Hydro-masters. On the release of update 5.0, in the prayer of the character “Toothy Surf” from this people, Mualani is available to us .

The best musicians and masters of fishing live here. Their tribe supports the resort status of the region, because their lands are the best for relaxation. The style corresponds to the Hydro element, there is a lot of blue here.

Descendants of Kron

A tribe that settled on the peaks of Mount Coatepec. Guardians of the Dendro-element. The fastest in Natlan, so they mainly deliver letters and packages. Their design has a lot of green.

Blooming Feather Clan

Source: charlieintel.com / Chaska is a member of the Clan of the Blooming Feather tribe

We met its representative Chaska in the Natlan storyline during the Pilgrimage. Chaska owns the Anemo God’s Eye, so it can be assumed that her tribe wears this element. At the time of writing, namely patch 5.0, more cannot be said.

Lords of the Night Wind

No information yet. We will update as new tribes are discovered.

The Lot of the Fertile Lands

Ionsan, a member of this tribe, we also met in the Natlan story. Presumably, the Piro tribe. For now, that’s all the information.

Zavrians

Since ancient times, the inhabitants of Natlan lived side by side with the saurians – magical creatures whose appearance may remind us of dinosaurs. Together with the Muratans, they fought against the Abyss, and their strong alliance helped to achieve a temporary victory.

They will also help the main character study Natlan. So, next to the puzzles on the territory of the region, there will be scales of saurians scattered, and depending on what type it is, we will take the state of “Beacon of the Soul” – the form of the saurian whose scale we caught.

Yumkasaurus

Conditional Dendro-saurians. Somewhat similar to ostriches, but with a large and fleshy loin. They help the Descendants of Kron in exploring mountain peaks. Due to their speed, they will be useful in obtaining food. In the form of a yumkosaurus, the main character will be able to be attracted to anchors, similar to the movement mechanics in Sumeru.

Koholasaurus

Saurians, who look like anthropomorphic sharks, are friends of the Folk of the Springs. By possessing them, the protagonist gains the ability to quickly swim across both regular lakes and lava lakes. In addition, these Saurians can move along phlogiston paths – something similar to the paths of the spirit, stretching through the air.

Tepetlizaurus

Large saurians that help the Children of Echo mine ore. Like Koholasaurus, they can move quickly through the earth’s rock and quickly explore the rocks.

Kukusaurs

According to rumors and leaks, the winged saurians of the Tribe of the Flowering Feather. Perhaps in their form the main character will fly freely.

Phlogiston

This is another manifestation of Pyro energy, besides the Eyes of God. Phlogiston manifests itself in both rocks and lava and in fireballs. It is displayed as a Pyro bar above the health bar or, if we are in Saurian form, on the right side of the character.

In order to accumulate a phlogiston charge, you need to look for Phlogiston particles. They are formed after touching Phlogiston or breaking an object that contains it. For example, there are fruits with Phlogiston in the body of yumkasaurus.

Tepetlizaurus and Echo Children can find Phlogiston Crystals on the map. To get a charge from them, it will be enough to hit them.

Another form of phlogiston is liquid. It is what flows in lava lakes instead of real fire liquid. In the Kozolosaurus state, the protagonist can quickly swim through them, dash, and move along spiritual paths, repeating the special technique of the Folk of the Springs.

Phlogiston engravings

To teach the Natlans how to use phlogiston, their seniors used phlogiston etchings. These are stone forms with sympols that require a supply of phlogiston and the correct answer in the form of a symbol to open. Once found, use the Koholasaurus’s Water Rush or the Springfolk’s Sprint to draw out its power.

Night Spirit

This is an energy that all characters in Natlan possess. The effect gives characters special abilities in combat and movement.

Blessing of the Night Spirit

The state that Natlana’s character enters when activating an elemental skill. It is indicated by a glow around the character and a point bar to the left of the character. Points are spent when the character uses special skills to move, such as Kachina riding Turbo Whirlwind, which costs Night Spirit points.

Flash of the Night Spirit

This skill is activated by using an elemental attack (ultimate or E-shka). Shown by a semi-transparent frame at the edges of the screen. The more Natlans in your squad, the more often the flash is triggered. Gives characters a damage buff or a shield, depending on the character. Some artifact sets are buffed even more thanks to the Flash.

Transfer of the Night Spirit

Another type of Night Spirit, associated with improving the character’s movement in places with phlogiston activity.
