In this Civilization VI guide we are going to show you everything you need to master the heroes and legends game mode , included in the game as part of the Babylon Pack or New Frontier Pass . This is an addition to the game that allows us to recruit new and spectacular units , including heroes, myths and legends of all kinds, each with unique abilities, active or passive, that allow us to further enhance our civilization.

How to get a hero or legend

In this optional, specialized game mode (but not exclusive to others), you can recruit legendary characters such as Arthur, Hercules, and Sun Wukong to your nation and reach new heights of prosperity, innovation, and military might. Heroes & Legends mode includes these exclusive rule changes:

• New Heroes can be discovered through the Heroic Stories City Project or through exploration and city-state diplomacy. They will often pop up almost unintentionally and then be produced and recruited into a city.
• The first time a Hero dies or expires (they have a limited lifespan or turns), they leave behind two Great Works of Heroic Relics : an Epic and a Symbolic item. These relics can aid their civilization for the rest of the game. Monuments can display these items in the two new Heroic Relic slots.

We will be able to recruit a number of heroes and legends throughout the game, but never one that has already been recruited by another civilization, so it would also be good to be quick in the game. Among the options we have the following:
