The streamer revealed through a live broadcast on Twitch what his personal skin was going to be. On this occasion, the work done by the people at Epic Games has been fantastic, since unlike what happened with TheGrefg’s skin, the result of Rubius’ character bears a tremendous resemblance to the person .
The basic skin is inspired by the outfit the streamer wore at the Soiree of the Year 2 , with a white t-shirt and a bandana with light effects (which can be turned off if you don’t want to attract the attention of your rivals). The skin is quite customizable, allowing you to choose whether to wear sunglasses or not, and also changing the color of your hair, from platinum to dark.
The alternative skin will be inspired by the Madkat brand , and according to Rubius, it is the result of a transformation that his character undergoes after coming into contact with Kevin’s cube. This version is quite striking with many light effects.
Like every skin, Rubius’ skin will also have a backpack specially designed for the occasion, and in his case the backpack is a cushion where Wilson, the streamer’s famous cat, rests. The cat will meow every time there is a kill, and will have different animations that will accompany us in the game.
And finally, the pickaxe. The pickaxe is a katana that glows brighter as you strike. It’s decorated with two miniature Kevin cubes that also serve to distract Wilson when you’re not moving.
When is it released?
The Rubius skin for Fortnite will be available in the accessory shop starting on September 25 , and the price of the entire pack will be 2,400 V-Bucks . The backpack and the katana can be purchased separately as a pair at a lower price.
