How to Beat Phantom Ganon Tears of the Kingdom.
As we explore Hyrule, whether on the Surface or in the Underground , we will have come across some hands with an evil aura that want to grab us to kill us. Well, this is a Phantom Ganon . If we want to face one of them, we better have good weapons and armor and if possible some kind of resistance to the evil aura. And food to eliminate its maximum health reduction effect on us.
Hands are the first phase of combat . We have to treat them as if they were a Hydra; we have to kill all the hands at the same time . If we kill them one by one they will regenerate and it will be practically impossible to defeat them all. The best weapons to kill them at the same time are explosives because they have an area of effect : if we combine Bomb Flowers with arrows and throw them , the explosions will inflict damage to all nearby hands.
With the hands removed, a Phantom Ganon appears that can carry various weapons such as swords or spears. Phantom Ganon is very tough , he takes away a lot of life if we do not wear good armor and like the rest of the enemies that emit evil aura, his blows will take away our maximum health . As if that were not enough, he also generates evil aura, so simply by being near him we can lose maximum health .
The best thing to do is to shoot at medium range with a good Bow and combine some Arrows with materials that inflict high damage such as some monster parts. When Phantom Ganon inevitably pounces on us, we cover ourselves and respond when he finishes hitting with two or three hits and without getting ready so that he doesn’t catch us off guard. The Hylian Shield is very useful for combats with Phantom Ganon since we can cover ourselves with confidence without our defense breaking.
It is possible to parry all of his hits , although as we mentioned above, if we do not have a good defense it is not a good strategy because if we fail he can kill us.
We remind you that Phantom Ganon is a recurring enemy . It’s not just one; there are several (defeating one inside the Great Deku Tree is necessary to heal it), and as we said before, they come with different weapons although the general approach regarding how to face them is the same. If we manage to defeat them, we will obtain very powerful weapons with some drawbacks such as that they gradually drain our health.
