Coronavirus Impacts & Updates

The coronavirus (COVID-19) is on the top of everyone’s minds and we’re aware of the potential it has to disrupt and impact your life as a locum tenens or traveling healthcare provider.

We want you to know that we care greatly about each of you, you are all members of the Weatherby Healthcare family. Regardless of what happens with COVID-19 we are committed to putting you first and taking care of your needs.

While this pandemic is still in the early phases in the United States we are monitoring how and where it is spreading so that we can be mindful of you and your future assignments. We also maintain a goal to ensure healthcare facilities around the country are appropriately staffed and that all patients are still being served.

We will use this post as a place for COVID-19 updates, especially if anything has the potential to impact future assignments. Read on below for current updates and specific actions currently being taken:

Locums Physicians & Other Travelers

The work you do is important and puts you at risk every day. The COVID-19 outbreak has the potential to impact your ability to work or your own health. Your safety is our top priority and we will continue to monitor the outbreak and communicate regularly with updates.

Update – March 11, 2020

  • Starting March 16, all locums and traveling providers will be required to complete a screening questionnaire prior to assignment start dates. Contact your consultant if you have not yet filled out a questionnaire or if anything has changed with your health or the areas you have traveled since you submitted the form.

Healthcare Facilities

As your partners, we are doing everything we can to ensure providers arrive prepared and on time to serve your patients. If you have additional needs or are aware of other areas where we could be of service, please reach out to your consultant.

Update – March 11, 2020

  • Starting March 16, all traveling providers are required to complete a screening questionnaire prior to their assignment start date. This will ensure they haven’t traveled to a high-risk international country or to their knowledge been exposed to COVID-19. If you have any further criteria for your facility, please reach out to your personal consultant.
