This guide will provide you with a description of all the side missions you can get in the capital of Vermund, Vernworth.
Painted Box (How to Get Masquerade Clothes)
Where to get the additional task: Vernworth.
Who gives the additional task: Sven.
What you need to do to take the additional task: complete the main quest “The Throne of the Lord”.
Reward for completing the additional task: 900 experience points, 4000 gold coins, a set of courtier’s clothing.
This quest will unlock automatically if you witness a quarrel between the shopkeeper Oriol and a young guy named Sven. It seems that an argument broke out between the seller and his customer. When you approach the shopkeeper Oriol, he will say that he recognizes you as the person who helped Flora (if you have previously completed the mission “Medicine”). Seeing that you helped Flora get the fruit pills, he will happily inform you that he is ready to give away his goods at a special price. We continue a detailed walkthrough of Vernworth’s additional quests in the game Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the StopGame.Ru portal.
Buy the Painted Box for 800 gold coins and find the guy Oriol was arguing with. Make sure you’re tracking this quest in your quest log, and a marker will appear pointing to Sven’s location. You’ll find him at the bottom of the stairs next to Roderick’s shop. Sven will ask you to lend him some gold coins. He wants to buy the Painted Box from Oriol, but he doesn’t have any money on him. Give him the same box you bought from Oriol earlier, and then meet the guy in a few days. So, after helping Sven, return to Vernworth in a few days to collect your well-deserved reward. You’ll find the guy sitting next to the Dragon Fountain in the center of Vernworth. Approach him and agree to talk.
Note : You can meet Sven at this location for the next four days, after which the quest will automatically complete. Each day you will receive different items from him. The first time you meet him, talk to him for a while and he will give you a gem. After that, he will leave, saying that he must hurry before his dear mother comes to her senses. Then, a few days later, meet Sven again at the same location and he will express his gratitude for your help by giving you a Ring of Accumulation. The third time you meet Sven at the same location, you will receive a Travel Stone. Return to the same location on the fourth day and Sven will give you a set of court clothes, which are used in many other quests.
The Tale of the Beggar
Where to get the additional task: Vernworth.
Who issues the additional task: none.
What you need to do to take the additional task: complete the main quest “The Throne of the Lord”.
Reward for completing the additional task: 900 experience points, 3000 gold (if you gave the clothes to Selina), 3 onyx (if you gave the clothes to Hilda), 5000 gold (if you gave the clothes to Albert).
This quest can be started in several ways. Likewise, there are several ways to complete it. Approach Albert (the beggar) standing in front of the Dragon Fountain in Wernworth Square. Listen to his monologue, then talk to the NPC nearby to activate the quest. Alternatively, you can start the mission by getting the beggar’s clothes from a house in the common area (if you randomly stumble upon an unlocked house).
After receiving the quest from Benton, the first task will appear – to follow Albert and understand what he devotes his day to. According to him, Albert is pretending, and in fact, he is doing well. Let’s try to follow Albert and uncover his secret. You can wait until night and follow Albert when he leaves the square, or use the bench nearby to rewind time to night, and then return to the right place. Just follow the man until you get to Walter’s tavern. Wait a little for Albert to go further, and continue the pursuit. If Albert is not in the square, you can go to Walter’s tavern yourself (he may have already gone there without you). If he is not at the tavern, go to the house, the location of which you can see in the screenshot below.
Arriving at Albert’s house, you will find a locked door. Wait 3-5 minutes of real time until the man comes out. He will change into court clothes. Enter the house and find the beggar’s clothes in the corner of the room. Take them. This quest has three different endings, and based on the information below, you can decide for yourself what to do with the clothes and Albert himself. You can give the beggar’s clothes to one of three characters: Selina, who is in Walter’s tavern, Hilda, who is located inside Baldwin’s estate, and Albert himself, who is standing near the house from which you stole the beggar’s clothes. We continue a detailed walkthrough of Vernworth’s additional quests in the game Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the StopGame.Ru portal.
Ending #1 – Give the beggar’s clothes to Selina
Look for Selina in the Commons, near Walter’s Tavern. Give her the beggar’s clothes. It turns out that these clothes belong to her husband, and Albert is a nobleman pretending to be a beggar. Visit Selina in a few days (most likely, one day will be enough). Return to the house where you took the beggar’s clothes to meet with the guard Todd. He will tell you that Albert and Selina were found dead. Albert was stabbed in the back, and Selina committed suicide. Todd finds it hard to believe what Selina did. Todd will tell you that, according to a witness, Selina was kicked out of the nobleman’s estate shortly before her death.
Ending #2 – Give the beggar’s clothes to Hilda
Hilda can be found in the Baldwin estate. She is inside, sitting at the dining table. Talk to her and give her the beggar’s clothes. She will promise to find a way to stop Albert and ask for a few days. Do whatever you want or rest for at least a day, then return to the estate. Talk to Hilda to find out what happened and what punishment awaits Albert.
Ending #3 – Return the beggar’s clothes to Albert
Return to the house where you found the clothes and give them to Albert. He will eventually keep his secret and continue to deceive everyone. You can find him near his second house with Selina – the same one you came to when you were following Albert and where you took the clothes from.
In search of inspiration
Where to get the additional task: Vernworth.
Who gives the additional task: Clarke.
What you need to do to take the additional task: complete the side quest “The Stolen Throne”.
Reward for completing the additional task: 2250 experience points, 7000 gold coins if you fought the Griffin. 4500 experience points and 14,000 gold coins if you used the Medusa’s head.
Another side quest that can be taken in Vernwort. Following the southwestern part of the noble quarter, you will encounter Clark. The man will approach you on his own and ask you to check the sculpture that he ordered in Bakbattal. Sculptor Fulvio can be found in the workshop of the same name in Bakbattal, northeast of the shopping district and south of the residential quarters. He is sitting in the corner of his workshop. Fulvio asks you to engage in combat with a griffin or, even better, immobilize this mythical creature to allow him to create the perfect statue. The griffin can be found east of the Inoa’Battal forest or north of the Oracle of Luz. Once there, talk to Fulvio, and he will accompany you to the location of the monster. We continue a detailed walkthrough of the additional quests of Vernwort in the game Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the StopGame.Ru portal.
You can immobilize the griffin by using the head of the Gorgon Medusa. But most likely, you do not have it, so you will have to act differently. Do everything possible to prolong the fight with the griffin. If you are already exploring Battalion in the story, then this should not be a problem. Avoid claw attacks and do not stand in front of its head. You can slow the monster down with ice attacks. Take your time hitting the griffin’s weak points. The battle should continue until Fulvio completes the sculpture. Attacking the griffin’s hind legs is a great way to inflict minor damage while keeping a safe distance from the monster. Although the griffin can still fly and attack from the air, it is less likely to hit you with its beak or claws.
You don’t have to kill the griffin at all! You can let it fly away. But it’s important to fight until Fulvio says that you’ll get everything you need. After the battle, Fulvio will return to his workshop. Visit him in 2-3 days and receive an invitation to the exhibition in Wernworth. Return to Clark’s home to complete the quest. Go inside his residence and go up to the second floor, through the door to the left of the stairs. You’ll receive 4,500 experience points and 14,000 gold coins.
A courtesy for a lawyer
Where to get the additional task: Vernworth, Slums, Merciful Hand storage
Who gives the additional task: Valdar.
What you need to do to take the additional task: complete the story quest “Imprisoned Lawman”.
Reward for completing the additional task: 900 experience points, the book “Winter Path”.
Official synopsis of the side quest: It appears that a pair of exquisite glasses belonging to Valdar can be found in a storage room near the living room where the masquerade is taking place.
The quest “A Courtesy for a Lawman” will become available after completing the quest “The Imprisoned Lawman” and visiting Valdar in the vaults of the Merciful Hand. You need to come to him after a few days. Just talk to start a new mission. Valdar’s glasses are stored in the storeroom next to the palace parlor where the masquerade is taking place. We are talking about the palace of Vernworth, in the noble quarter. To get to the right place, go to the noble quarter in the southwest part of Vernworth. Behind the training grounds of the castle, look for the entrance to Vernworth Hall. There is a guard next to the door. The guard will say that there will be no masquerade, but will let you inside. Once inside, go to the left side of the hall. At the end there will be a small room with lit candles on both sides of the doorway. Take the glasses from the shelf with your left hand. Once you receive Valdar’s points, return to him in the Merciful Hand vaults. Hand the item over to the quest giver to complete the mission. We continue our detailed walkthrough of Vernworth’s side quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the StopGame.Ru portal.
Noble exchange
Where to get the additional task: Vernworth, Vernworth Palace, the hall where the masquerade is taking place.
Who gives the additional quest: An unnamed nobleman at the Wernworth masquerade.
What you need to do to take the additional task: the quest will become available as the story progresses, at some point between completing the main missions “People of the Blazing Flame” and “The New Voice of the Overlord”.
Reward for completing the additional task: depending on the ending – 900 experience points and 750 gold coins if you identify the true culprit: 900 experience points and 300 gold coins if you get rid of the evidence.
Official synopsis of the additional task: Take part in the traditional gift exchange.
To unlock the quest, follow the storyline and complete the main quest “Fairy Tale of Deception”. Before heading to the right place, you need to find suitable clothes – a court tunic and trousers, as well as an evening mask. After that, go to the masquerade ball at Vernworth Hall, which is held exclusively at night. One of the masked guests will approach you and hand you a staff. The quest “Noble Exchange” becomes available as the storyline progresses. In my case, the quest appeared after completing the main quest “Fairy Tale of Deception”. The mission itself can be taken from an NPC in Vernworth Hall during the masquerade ball, which only takes place at night.
Go to the ball, approach the guests and wait until one of them talks to you (the masked man). He will ask if you are the Risen, and then tell you about how the participants of the ball exchange gifts. Remember this man! He wears a red cloak, slicked back hair and a black mask with gold decorations. Approach other nobles, who will give you random items. Nothing is required of you! We continue the detailed walkthrough of Wernworth’s additional quests in the game Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the StopGame.Ru portal.
Ending #1 – Throw the staff and catch the thief
This is perhaps the best ending to the quest. Shortly after, one of the guards will stop the event and announce that there is a thief among those present. Depending on how you approach the situation, you will get different results. The best ending to this quest is to get rid of the staff before trying to catch the thief – the same person who first spoke to you and gave you this item. To throw the staff away without raising any suspicion, go beyond the corridor and enter the small room on the right side. Go behind the screen and throw the staff, standing next to the chest. Return to the hall and get ready to look for the thief. Once you catch the villain, Gunther will confess to everything, and you will be transported to the prison cells. The guard will thank you for your help, and you will be rewarded with 900 experience points and 7,500 gold coins. Since you threw away the staff before the thief was apprehended, if you wait a few days, you can buy it back from Ibrahim’s hardware store in Border Town.
Ending #2 – Catch the thief without throwing away the staff
Once the guards have inspected you, catch the thief who approached you first. The staff should be in your inventory. You will still be rewarded with a small amount of gold coins, but you will lose the staff and will not be able to buy the item back from Ibrahim’s hardware store.
Ending #3 – Throw away the staff and clear yourself of suspicion
To achieve this outcome, throw away the staff as you did in the first ending of the quest, then exit the hall. The guards will check you and remove any suspicions. This will end the quest. Since you threw away the staff, you will be able to buy it back in the future from Ibrahim’s hardware store in Bordertown, but you will not be rewarded for catching the thief.
Ending #4 – Don’t throw away the staff and try to leave
Either you try to escape, or you try to leave the hall without throwing away the staff. In either case, the guards will catch you. You will not receive a reward, you will not be able to buy back the staff, and in addition, you will end up in prison. We continue a detailed walkthrough of Vernworth’s additional quests in the game Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the StopGame.Ru portal.
Home Sweet Home
Where to get the additional task: Vernworth, on the street south of the Stardrop Inn.
Who gives the additional task: Mildred.
What you need to do to get the side quest: Complete the main quest “The Lord’s Throne” after arriving in Vernworth.
Reward for completing the additional task: achievement “A house? And this is called saving?”, 500 experience points.
To unlock the Home Sweet Home quest, talk to Mildred. She is located in front of the main entrance to the Stardrop Inn in Wernworth. She will tell you about her house and offer to meet her near it. Then the woman will ask you to watch the house in her absence. In the quest menu, start tracking this mission so that a marker indicating Mildred’s house appears on the map. When you arrive at the right place, you will meet Mildred. Then she will leave, and the task will update. You must temporarily live in this house for a week. Go to Mildred’s house, be sure to search it. You can use the chest connected to the main storage, and the bed. To complete the task as soon as possible, interact with the bed and rest until the morning. And do this 8 times in a row. Thanks to this, a whole week will fly by. After the eighth rest, a new objective should appear, and you will see the inscription: “Mildred’s week of wanderings is over.”
Leave the house to meet Mildred. Shortly after the dialogue and cutscene, the woman will tell you that she enjoyed the trip. She wants to move and is ready to sell her house for 20,000 gold coins. However, if you do not have the financial means, you can refuse, save up money and come back to her again. If you have the money, you should not refuse, since the house in the noble quarter will cost you much more. One of the advantages of having your own house is that you will not have to pay for a vacation at the Wernworth Inn. And you can still use the chest to store your things. Buying Mildred’s house will unlock another achievement “A house? And this is called saving?”. Additionally, you will receive 500 experience points. We continue a detailed walkthrough of Wernworth’s additional quests in the game Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the StopGame.Ru portal.
A veil of thin clouds
Where to get the additional task: Vernworth Castle.
Who gives the additional task: Sven.
What you need to do to take the additional task: complete the main quest “Fairy Tale of Deception” and the side quest “Disguised Correspondence”.
Reward for completing the additional task: 4000 experience points, 20,000 gold coins, 1 travel stone.
Official synopsis of the side quest: You are not the only one investigating the Queen Regent’s plots. Her son Sven has been investigating as well and has discovered an intriguing letter that hints at unsolved mysteries.
The quest “A Veil of Thin Clouds” can be activated after completing the side mission “Disguised Correspondence” and the main quest “The Extravaganza of Deception”. After completing them, talk to Sven in Wernworth Castle. Alternatively, you can be stopped by a stranger on the streets of Wernworth and tell him that Sven wants to talk to you. This quest is mostly about delivering letters, and you need to find the right letter that Sven needs.
Ending #1 – Find the right letter
Once you activate the quest, you will be able to examine the letter by showing it to Elena. You will find the woman in the prison tower of Vernworth Castle if you complete the side quest “Saint of the Slums”. I can’t say for sure, but it is possible that you don’t have to complete this part of the quest at all. Once you show the letter to Elena, a marker will appear on the map pointing to Bakbattal. Once you arrive in Bakbattal, before you take any action, you must prepare. If you are playing as a human, you will need a beast mask, which can be purchased for 8,700 gold coins at Ibrahim’s hardware store in Bordertown. You will also need to have a border entry permit with you, which can be obtained as part of the storyline from Captain Brant. You will receive the permit after the main quest “Extravaganza of Deception”. Once you have collected both necessary items, hire a carriage in Bordertown and head to Bakbattal. Once you arrive, head to the Laboratory of Forbidden Magic.
On your way to the objective, you’ll need to show the guard your entry permit. Then ride the cart to Bakbattal and stop near the residential area. Head east to reach the entrance to the Burning Castle and explore its southern part to find a bridge leading to the Laboratory of Forbidden Magic. Once inside, reach a large room with a statue. Continue towards the marker to overhear a conversation between Igli and Jerome, who are discussing a delivered letter. Enter the room in the center of the marked area to reach the second workshop. Find the letter to Lord Faes lying in the center of the table. Once you have this letter, return to Sven’s chambers in Vernworth Castle – the same place where you spoke to him at the beginning of this quest. Show him the letter to Lord Faes. Once you finish talking to Sven, the quest itself will be completed.
Ending #2 – Find the unfinished letter
Show the letter to Valdar in the Merciful Hand vaults, where he will go after the quests “The Imprisoned Lawman” and “On the Margins of History”. He will say that it is a love letter. Then return to Sven and report your findings. Just report that it was a love letter, and the quest will be completed. You will not have to go to Bakbattal. We continue the detailed walkthrough of Wernworth’s additional quests in the game Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the StopGame.Ru portal.
Moving in the shadows
Where to get the additional task: Vernworth.
Who gives the additional task: Vera.
What you need to do to get the extra quest: complete the side quest “Home Sweet Home” (buying a house in Wernworth) and the quest “A Fire in the Storm”.
Reward for completing the additional task: 4000 experience points, 20,000 gold coins.
Official synopsis of the side quest: Who could knock on your door late at night but a handmaiden of Her Majesty Nadinia, the Empress of Battal? Her purpose is still unknown, but it is clear that she wants secrecy.
To start this quest, it is important to have your own house in Wernworth. This can be a cheap house, which you can buy for 20,000 gold coins during the side mission “Home Sweet Home”, or a house from the Noble Quarter, for which you will have to unload a lot more coins. In addition, it is important to complete the side mission “A Fire in the Storm”. If all the conditions are met, visit your house in Wernworth at night.
Vera will come to your house at night. This can only happen if you have completed the quest “A Light in the Storm” and also acquired your own home. She will tell you that Nadinia would like to meet you, and also at night. Agree to officially start the quest. If all the conditions are met, but Vera does not come to the house, just rest until night, and this will definitely happen. Apparently, the empress needs help: she wants to sneak into the Rose Estate brothel unnoticed. Just follow the woman and Vera to the building. The pawns will temporarily leave the squad so that no one suspects you. During the quest, you will meet different beastmen who need help. Depending on how you decide to deal with them, you will receive one or another ending to the quest. If you spend too much time and fail to escort Vera and Nadinia to the brothel before morning, they will be exposed. We continue the detailed walkthrough of Vernworth’s additional quests in the game Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the StopGame.Ru portal.
Ending #1 – Arrive at Rose Manor on time
Continue following Nadinia. Eventually, you’ll pass by Filbert’s shop, where the first character who needs help is located. He’s going to get medicine for his sick wife. Filbert refuses to sell the medicine to the beastman, which further highlights the plight of Nadinia’s family in Vernworth. The Empress will want to help him, but under the circumstances, you’ll have to do everything yourself. Simply talk to Filbert and pay him gold for the medicine, which you’ll then need to give to Dommel. You’ll have to fork out 1,000 gold coins.
Continue following your charges and eventually reach the Noble Quarter. Inside this place, you will meet a thief from Battal who will ask for help. He will say that the only way for his kind to survive in the city is to get their hands dirty. Unfortunately, you will have to refuse his help, otherwise you simply will not make it to the brothel in time. The thief will be caught by the guard who was pursuing him, and Nadinia will comment on the situation, although she will agree to go further.
Eventually, you’ll reach the brothel, and the Empress will ask you to wait a bit while she takes care of some pressing issues. Don’t worry, time will rewind automatically, and the Empress will soon emerge. She’ll tell you that she’s enlisted the help of the Rose Manor’s inhabitants in her quest to improve the quality of life for her kind in Vernworth. Vera will explain that if Nadinia is exposed, the relationship between the two states will deteriorate even further. Talk to the women near the Risen statue to learn that the founder of Vermund was a beastman. Relations between the states have deteriorated as a result of past wars. Nadinia hopes that one day the inhabitants of both states will be able to live side by side.
Ending #2 – Being late
If you threaten Filbert or agree to help the thief, the guards will become aggro on the Risen, and your hero will end up in prison. You will lose precious time, and will not be able to escort the Empress to the Rose Estate brothel before morning. The quest will still be completed, and the Empress will still be determined to improve the situation of her people in Vernworth. We continue a detailed walkthrough of the additional quests of Vernworth in the game Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the StopGame.Ru portal.
An extinguished forge and a dull sword
Where to get the additional task: Vernworth Castle.
Who gives the additional task: Roman.
What you need to do to take the additional task: complete the main quest “The Throne of the Lord”.
Reward for completing the additional task: 2800 experience points, 12,000 gold coins.
Official synopsis of the side quest: You have been tasked with repairing a Regalian sword that has been wielded by generations of Vermundian rulers. If you could get it into your sheath, it would greatly aid your claim to the throne.
This quest can be started by talking to Roman in the courtyard of Vernworth Castle, after completing the mission “The Throne of the Overlord”. The man will ask you to follow him to talk in a more comfortable setting. He will run to a secluded place nearby, so follow him until the NPC stops to talk to you again. In the end, Roman asks for help – to restore glory to a rusty sword. You need to find someone who can restore this weapon. First, ask the blacksmith from Vernworth, who will give the first clue. The blacksmith you are looking for is in Bakbattal. Go to this city and find Brokkr’s forge, located in the southwest. The shop is in a secluded place with a narrow path gradually disappearing into a cave. You will find a gnome in the back room behind the forge, but Brokkr will refuse to do anything for you. The gnome has retired. Try to leave, and Sarah will stop you. She will try to find out how she can help you, but Brokkr will intervene. The conversation will end. Wait for Brokkr to leave the building and visit Sarah when she is alone. This time she will be near the forge. Sarah will tell you that a special material is needed to restore the sword. Your next goal is to collect 15 smoldering coals from the ruins nearby and bring them to the blacksmith.
Once you’ve done that, return to Sarah and hand over the materials. Let her take care of restoring the weapon. Take a few days off from this location, then return to Brokkr’s Forge. Sarah will tell you that she hasn’t made any progress yet and will ask you to come back later. Spend a few days off from this location again and visit Sarah. She won’t be at the forge, and you’ll run into Brokkr instead. He’ll tell you that Sarah hasn’t appeared since yesterday, when she went looking for a place to restore the weapon. A marker will appear on the map, pointing to a cave in the mountains. We continue our detailed walkthrough of Vernworth’s side quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the StopGame.Ru portal.
Move to the marked place. The path will lead you straight to the entrance of the cave. Walk along the path of wooden planks and destroy all enemies. In the next part of the task, you will have to run back to the entrance of the cave as fast as possible to make it before the hammer cools down completely, so clear the entire path in advance so that there is not a single enemy left. Only after that, talk to Sarah, who is in the makeshift blacksmith. She will tell you that she made a flaming hammer, with which you can restore the sword. But you need to act quickly. Get to the entrance to automatically return to Brokkr’s forge. As a result, you will receive the restored sword. All that remains to be done is to deliver the weapon to Roman. You will meet him in the same place where you took the task. The man will be grateful for your help. The task will be completed immediately after talking to Roman.
Every rose has its thorn
Where to get the additional task: Vernworth, Noble Quarter, Rose Manor brothel
Who gives the additional task: Wilhelmina.
What you need to do to get the side quest: complete the main quest “Fairy Tale of Deception”, but you need to act quickly and complete this side mission as soon as possible, otherwise it will become unavailable. I recommend doing this right after starting the main quest “People of the Blazing Flame”.
Reward for completing the additional task: 1200 experience points, 8500 gold coins, a ring of goodwill, a romantic relationship with Wilhelmina.
Official synopsis of the additional mission: Wilhelmina has given you three days to find evidence of Allard’s crimes.
Follow the storyline until you complete the main mission “Fairy Tale of Deception”. Go up to the second floor of the Rose Manor brothel to find Rolf the servant standing outside Wilhelmina’s room. Enter Wilhelmina’s room and use the peephole to eavesdrop on the conversation between Wilhelmina and Allard. After the cutscene, talk to Wilhelmina herself. Offer your help to activate the mission.
You have just received one of the few time-limited quests. You must find evidence of Allard’s crimes and hand it over to Wilhelmina within three days. After talking to Wilhelmina, return to the tavern and take the guard’s kit. You should have received this kit during the main quest “Disa’s Intrigue”. It is in the chest in the guardroom. Once you change into this armor, you will be able to freely walk around the restricted area in the palace. Go to Sven’s chambers and talk to Disa’s son. If you haven’t done so yet, you will most likely receive his personal quest “A Veil of Thin Clouds” from Sven. You will receive the quest item from Sven. Talk to him again, and he will mention Allard. The guy will tell you that a certain Ser Patrick can help you. Visit his house at night (Patrick’s estate) and talk to the man. Listen carefully to what he tells you, because you will receive a hint on how to get the first clues. Agree to his offer of help to find yourself inside Allard’s house. We continue the detailed walkthrough of Wernworth’s additional tasks in the game Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the StopGame.Ru portal.
The first clue is in Allard’s estate, which is located near Sir Patrick’s house, on the left side of the map. Wait for Allard to leave his house before entering, go up to the second floor and immediately enter the first room by the stairs. Inspect the left side of the office to find a painting of an oval-shaped flower. Inspect it to find a murder report.
To get a clue that will lead to the second piece of evidence, go to the Stardrop Inn at night and talk to Captain Brant. Don’t show him the murder report! Choose the phrase “Tell me about Myrmecoleon”. He will tell you that you can find evidence from one of the merchants living in the merchant district. The second piece of evidence is located near Clovis’ Barbery. You can enter the house and take the results of the bribery investigation from the table.
So, you have obtained both pieces of evidence needed to complete the mission. Before you give them to Wilhelmina, you need to enlist the help of Captain Brant. This will help you later. Return to the Stardrop Inn (at night) and ask Brant about the Myrmecoleon again. When you decide to show him the evidence, first provide the results of the bribery investigation. After he examines it, select the line related to finding additional evidence. Talk to him again and show him the murder report. After he checks both pieces of evidence, you will receive an additional dialogue option. Tell Captain Brant that you need all the help he can get. The quest should update, and the journal will show that you have enlisted the captain’s help. Go to the Rose Estate and talk to Wilhelmina, who is standing on the balcony. Show her the murder report to continue the quest. Immediately after this, there will be a branching path, and you will be able to reach one of the possible endings of the task.
Ending #1 – Help Wilhelmina kill Allard
Show Wilhelmina the murder report, and she’ll ask if you intend to follow through. Offer to help again, and Wilhelmina will disguise herself. Follow her outside, and she’ll tell you that Allard is in the next room. Go inside and pin Allard to the floor to trigger a cutscene that reveals Wilhelmina’s true identity. She’ll kill Allard.
After the cutscene, climb out the window by jumping into the hay pile below. Climb out of the hay to trigger a cutscene featuring Captain Brant. He is unhappy with your involvement in Allard’s murder, but since you have enlisted his help, he will help you leave this place safely. When you try to leave, Wilhelmina will talk to the Risen and offer to meet in her room at night. Follow Brant back to the trading district, then rewind time to the next night and return to Wilhelmina. Talk to her and a romantic cutscene will start. This will formally complete the quest. You will receive 8500 gold coins, a ring of favor, and 1200 experience points as a reward. We continue a detailed walkthrough of Wernworth’s additional quests in the game Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the StopGame.Ru portal.
Ending #2 – Refuse to help Wilhelmina kill Allard
This result is much easier to obtain. After presenting the murder report to Wilhelmina, simply refuse to help her. In this case, Wilhelmina will still kill Allard, but will be captured by the guards and you will not be able to enter the romantic scene.
Ending #3 – Tell Allard about the conspiracy
I’m not sure if it’s possible to get this ending, but if you follow the logic, there should be such a result. If you know how to get it, be sure to share the information in the comments below.
House of the Blue Sunflower
Where to get the additional task: Vernworth.
Who gives the additional task: Diana.
Requirement: Complete the side quest “The hand of the giver shall not be empty.”
Reward for completing the additional task: 900 experience points and 3000 gold coins.
This quest will become available after talking to an NPC named Diana. She can be found at the top of the stairs leading from the Slums to the common area of Vernworth. The Townsend estate is located in the noble quarter. Go inside to meet Diana. She will tell you about the problems of the young owner, but Sebastian himself will present a different view of the situation. He asks to find a double so that his mother cannot spy on her son and he can do his own thing. We continue a detailed walkthrough of the additional tasks of Vernworth in the game Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the StopGame.Ru portal.
The doppelganger the maid was talking about is Daphne, a girl from the Slums you helped a few days ago (if you completed the mission “The Hand of the Giver Is Not Barren”). Find her near the tent near the largest building in the Slums, “The Gracious Hand”. Daphne will be unsure, but will soon follow you to the estate. Sebastian will be pleased with the physical resemblance to the girl, so he will ask the maid to change her clothes and give her the appropriate instructions. Sebastian is preparing for a trip to Melve, where he wants to pick up a gift for his mother. Talk to Daphne and Diana to receive the next objectives. Diana will tell you that the lands around Melve are rife with poisonous flora, and she wants to make an antidote for the young master, which is not available in the local stores. Daphne will tell you that the safest way to get to Melve is to take something with you that smells like a cyclops, because part of this monster scares off other creatures.
To help Sebastian with the antidote, you can give him one of several items. Awakening Powder will do, among others. If you do not have the Cyclops parts, you will have to buy them or kill a new beast. You can give Sebastian a durable Cyclops bone. Once Sebastian has both items, he will go to Melve. Wait a few days and return to the estate to see how Sebastian is doing. The guy has safely returned from his trip to Melve and brought the required item. Natasha will fire Daphne, and the quest “House of the Blue Sunflower” will be marked as completed. After a few days, return to the Merciful Hand and find Diana near the same tent where Daphne used to stand. She will tell you that the owner of the estate fired her, and the striking resemblance between Daphne and Sebastian is no coincidence. Daphne is Sebastian’s twin sister.
Disguised correspondence
Where to get the additional task: Vernworth Castle.
Who gives the additional task: Sven.
What you need to do to get the additional quest: complete the main quest “The Throne of the Lord”, and also, probably, complete the side quest “The Painted Box”.
Reward for completing the additional task: 900 experience points, 6000 gold coins, onyx.
Official synopsis of the side quest: Sven has been tasked with delivering a letter to a potential ally in his stead, as Disa won’t let him attend masquerades – and there’s no better opportunity for secret correspondence.
To start a new side quest, go up to the second floor of Vernworth Castle. Enter Sven’s chambers in the northwest corner and talk to Disa’s son. After activating the mission in Sven’s chambers, you will have to deliver a letter to Sir Patrick. You can meet the recipient during the masquerade ball in Vernworth Hall. To enter, you must wear court clothes. At this point, you should have completed the quest “The Stolen Throne”, which allowed you to acquire an evening mask. As for the court clothes, you can get them after completing the side quest “The Painted Box”. In the event that you somehow lost the listed items, go to Ibrahim’s hardware store and buy these items.
Wait until night falls and head to Wernworth Hall, where the masquerade ball is taking place. Once you are in the hall, keep an eye out for a man in a blue cape with a black and gold mask. He is quite easy to distinguish from the rest, as other visitors will be wearing accessories resembling a lion. Once you find Lord Patrick, approach him and give him the letter from Sven. When you are done, return to Sven’s chambers. Talk to the guy to complete the quest. Messenger on a cart
Where to get the additional task: north-east gate of Vernworth.
Who gives the additional task: Donovan.
What you need to do to take the additional task: start the main task “The Throne of the Lord”.
Reward for completing the additional task: 300 experience points, 5000 gold coins, miner’s trousers with resistance to cold and lightning.
Find Donovan at the north gate of Vernworth. He is standing next to the wagon station and will ask for your help. He needs to deliver a letter from Lady Margit to Sir Lennart of Melve. The wagons can only be used during daylight hours. As for the quest “Wagon Messenger”, it is important to make sure that you take it (talk to Donovan) during daylight hours so that you can immediately board the wagon and head to Melve. Donovan asks you to accompany the wagon and ensure the safe delivery of the letter to Sir Lennart.
After a short trip, you will arrive in Melve, where you will meet Lennart standing near the well. If you talk to him for the first time, you will receive a new quest, “A Nest of Troubles.” Then talk to him again, and you will have the opportunity to hand over a letter from Lady Margit. He will accept the letter, after which you will be asked to return to Vernworth and inform Donovan of the results. Return from Melve and find Donovan in the same place, near the station with carts. After talking to the man, the quest will be completed, and you will receive rewards. We continue a detailed walkthrough of the additional quests of Vernworth in the game Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the StopGame.Ru portal.
Saint of the Slums
Where to get the additional task: Wernworth Slums.
Who gives the additional task: Elena.
What you need to do to get the additional task: complete the main quest “The Throne of the Lord”, and also (possibly) the side quests “On the Margins of History” and “The Hand of the Giver Will Not Be Empty”.
Reward for completing the additional task: 1600 experience points, 11,000 gold coins.
Official synopsis for the side quest: The Wernworth Slums are a harsh place where illness is often synonymous with death. Amidst this despair, the Abbess of the Merciful Hand stands out.
Head to the Merciful Hand Monastery and find a man named Vlasiy outside, complaining about his son’s deteriorating health. Listen to his conversation with Elena, and when he leaves, talk to Elena yourself to activate the quest. The woman will ask you to find Miasmite, a medicinal ingredient she uses to treat her patients. Miasmite drops from ghosts and other mobs that you can only encounter at night. If you have already put this resource in storage, visit the nearest tavern, move the items to your inventory, and return to Elena. Otherwise, you will have to travel outside the city at night, trying to find and kill several phantoms to collect a total of 3 Miasmite. We continue a detailed walkthrough of Wernworth’s additional quests in the game Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the StopGame.Ru portal.
After receiving the Miazmite and giving it to Elena, the woman will offer you to go on a round of her patients with her. This will advance you in the quest “Saint of the Slums”, and you will be tasked with following Lady Elena. First, she will take you to Lubomir, the son of Vlasiy, whom you met earlier. Elena will go to her private quarters to prepare the medicine. Once you are alone with Lubomir, he will say that something is wrong with all of this. You will be offered to investigate the Merciful Hand. Your investigation will continue after talking to a woman named Lottie. She can be found in front of the Merciful Hand, where she is cleaning one of the rooms. After that, return to Lubomir. He will ask you to continue the investigation and visit the basement to find out what is happening there. Agree to help him. Now you need to collect evidence. The entrance to the basement is on the right side of the building, if you are moving from Lyubomir’s bed (you can only get to the basement at night, as the door will be locked during the day). Go down the stairs and go to the door on the left side. Behind this door, you will find several beds. Enter the far room with a curtain. Take two items – treatment notes lying in the bookcase and an unmarked medicine located on the shelf with medicines. With evidence in hand, continue the investigation, trying to find patients previously treated by Lady Elena. The quest objective will update after you pick up both items, after which a new marker will appear on the map. Go to Walter’s tavern and find Bruno and Jehan. They will tell you that their lives were hanging by a thread, but Lady Elena helped them, and for this they respect her. We continue our detailed walkthrough of Vernworth’s additional quests in the game Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the StopGame.Ru portal.
Continue your investigation by heading to the meeting place between Elena and her contact at night. Her location will be marked with a marker, and you will learn that she is meeting with Alois, who is connected to Lord Faes. After the cutscene, return to Lubomir and show him the evidence you found. He will remember a doctor you can meet in Border Town. You can get there on foot or take a cart to save time. Look for Radcliffe in the southeastern part of the city, going up a dirt path. His house is on the right side. To get inside, use the door next to the stairs. Give the doctor the unsigned medicine, and he will begin studying it. This will take one day. After resting, talk to the doctor to find out the results.
Radcliffe will inform you that this medicine has addictive properties, which will likely lead to addiction in patients. After learning about this “medicine”, immediately return to the Merciful Hand to detain Elena. Once you reach the monastery, examine Lyubomir’s bed, who will no longer be there. Lottie, who is standing nearby, will inform you that his condition has worsened and the sisters have decided to transfer the guy to the basement. Get to the basement to meet Elena. All you need to do is grab and restrain Elena. After a while, you will be arrested and taken to the Vernworth Castle prison tower. Since you have enough evidence and you have proven that the medicine is fake, you will be released, and one of the guards will tell you about Elena’s fate. The quest will be completed, and you will receive the following rewards: 1600 experience points and 11,000 gold coins.
After completing the quest, you can optionally talk to Lottie outside the Merciful Hand. She will tell you that she does not have enough hands to take care of all the patients. Optionally, go by cart to Border Town to meet with Dr. Radcliffe. He will ask you for 3000 gold coins for a contract, according to which Radcliffe will become a doctor of the Merciful Hand. If you do this, you will save Lyubomir’s life. Lottie herself will be pleased, from whom you will receive special arrows. Keep in mind that all this must be done immediately after completing the quest, otherwise Lyubomir may die. We continue a detailed walkthrough of Wernworth’s additional quests in the game Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the StopGame.Ru portal.
Trouble on the road
Where to get the additional task: Vernworth.
Who gives the additional task: Simon.
What you need to do to take the additional task: complete the main quest “People of the Blazing Flame”, complete the side mission “Welcome to Battal”.
Reward for completing the additional task: 4000 experience points, 12,000 gold coins.
Official synopsis of the side quest: You have been asked to escort Ser Augustin, leader of the opposition to the Queen Regent, back to Vermund. Follow the road and tell no one, not even Captain Brant.
When you first reach Bakbattal, return to Vernworth immediately and go to the wagon station at the northern gate. You will be approached by an NPC named Simon, who will activate the quest “Trouble on the Highway.” He will ask you to escort a wagon from Bordertown to Vernworth. The man will add that the task at hand requires the strictest secrecy, and will even point out that Captain Brant should not know about this. After that, go to the marked location, which is located north of Bordertown. Upon arrival there, Simon will meet you as part of another escort group for Ser Augustine. Soon after, Ragnall will appear, who will say that he will escort Ser Augustine himself. At this point, you need to choose one of the sides.
Note : The next part of the quest will be roughly the same regardless of your choice, as you will have to chase Ragnall anyway. But if you side with the guards, Ragnall will run much further. We continue our detailed walkthrough of Vernworth’s side quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the StopGame.Ru portal.
Instead, I recommend attacking the soldiers. After the attack, both Simon and Ragnall will run away. Follow him and Augustine into the forest belt, which will lead you to Guerco’s cave. When you try to follow them into the cave, the floor will collapse under you, and you will be separated from your pawns. You will have to find the exit yourself. The path is quite simple: go along the path to the left to meet Ragnall. Then escort him to the exit. Navigate using your mini-map, while Ragnall will lead you to the exit. Fight monsters along the way, including Saurians. Eventually, you will reach a body of water. After eliminating all threats, Ragnall will inform you that the escort mission was a conspiracy, and they wanted to lure you into a trap. Augustine understood everything, so he hired Ragnall unofficially. He found evidence that the Arisen was going to be blamed for Augustine’s death. Go to bed. The next day, continue looking for a way out of the cave. Follow the path that leads to another part of the cave (don’t go where you came from last night). Once you get outside, the path will collapse and block Ragnall’s exit. The man will say goodbye to you, and after this conversation, the quest itself will end.
