How to Disable Screen Saver in Windows 10 and 11.

Through settings

Procedure:

  • Right-click on the desktop and select “Personalize”;
  • In the left column, click on “Lock screen”, then scroll to “Screen saver settings”;
  • Set the value to “No” and click “OK”.

Via the Run command

You can save time and get to the desired section via the “Run” command. To do this:

  • Press Win + R;
  • In the menu that opens, enter rundll32.exe shell32.dll, Control_RunDLL desk.cpl,,1 and press Enter.

Through the registry editor

For those who are not looking for easy ways, there is a complicated alternative in the form of the registry editor. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Press Win + R;
  • In the menu that opens, type regedit and press Enter;
  • Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Policies Microsoft Windows;
  • If there is no Control Panel section there, create it by right-clicking on the empty field;
  • Next, create a subsection in Control Panel called Desktop;
  • Go into it, click on “Edit” → “Create” → “String Parameter” and name the last one ScreenSaveActive;
  • Double-click on it with the left mouse button and set the value to 0;
  • Exit Registry Editor and reboot your system.

Through the Group Policy Editor

Another complicated option, which is also only suitable for Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise users:

  • Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc and press Enter;
  • Go to “User Configuration” → “Administrative Templates” → “Control Panel” → “Personalization”;

  • On the right side of the list of parameters, double-click the left mouse button on the item “Enable screensaver”;
  • Set the parameter to “Disabled”, click “Apply” and then “OK”;
  • Reboot your OS.

How to disable screensaver on tv

  • Press the button on the remote control that is responsible for the settings. It usually looks like a gear;
  • Next, select System → Store Demo Settings and disable Demo Mode.
