We tell you how exchanges work in Pokémon TCG Pocket and what we will have to take into account when exchanging.A week ago we were already telling you about the imminent arrival of trading in Pokémon TCG Pocket , and after the official announcement of the A2 expansion at the beginning of this afternoon, they have now confirmed a release date for this new mechanic that many of us were waiting for.

To the surprise of many, trading will be available one day before the arrival of the new A2 expansion “Space-Time Strife”, meaning we can start trading with our friends next Wednesday, January 29th . As we told you a few days ago, the rules remain the same as before:

  • Exchanges can be made between friends .
  • Trades can be made with cards of the same rarity .
  • At the launch of the trading feature, certain cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island booster packs will be available for trading.
  • Cards with a rarity of ♢1–♢4 and ☆1 can be traded.
  • Items must be consumed to complete the trade.

On the other hand, and as many of us suspected despite having some hope that Iris Dust would serve for something more than adding visual aspects to the cards, the Pokémon TCG Pocket team will implement a new currency into the game with which we can exchange. In addition, these will be limited in a similar way to the magical choices, since we will also have hourglasses as a new object .

They haven’t wanted to give many details about these coins, but from what we know officially, depending on which cards we want to exchange, they will cost us more or less coins. For example, a metal rarity card will cost us 120 exchange coins. Therefore, as soon as more is known about it and this mechanic is released, we will bring you a detailed guide with the prices and how you can exchange cards with your friends.
