CareFinders Adds to Executive Team; Home Helpers Lands New Marketing Talent

CareFinders announces new leadership hires

CareFinders Total Care has expanded its executive leadership team, naming Glenn Williams as the company’s new chief financial officer and Mary Morrisey-Gabriel as its new senior vice president of growth.

Founded in 1995, Hackensack, New Jersey-based CareFinders provides home health care services to more than 8,500 patients throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. It has 26 offices in total.

Williams brings more than 25 years of experience leading financial teams to the CFO role. Previously, he held leadership positions at a number of hospital-based health care systems, including Stamford Health System, Yale New Haven Health and the UJA Federation of Hospitals of New York.

Prior to her recent appointment, Morrisey-Gabriel was an investor, owner and chief sales officer at Transpirus, now part of Corridor.

“Glenn and Mary both join CareFinders with a wealth of business development and financial management experience in multi-state, home health care companies and successful track records of building and growing industry-leading organizations,” CareFinders CEO Jim Robinson said in a statement.

Home Helpers expands marketing team

Home Helpers has made two additions to its marketing leadership team. The company appointed Alison Lang senior director of marketing, while naming Emily Hall senior brand manager.

Established in 1997, Cincinnati-based Home Helpers is an in-home care franchise company that has over 300 locations across the U.S.

The hiring of Lang and Hall is integral to growing the future demand for Home Helpers, Emma Dickison, the company’s president and CEO, noted.

“We are grateful to have Alison and Emily join the Home Helpers team,” Dickison said in a statement. “As we continue to grow our organization, we need the right marketing minds to guide us through with data-driven strategies, novel thinking and reliable multi-channel expertise.”

Prior to joining Home Helpers, Lang served as assistant vice president of digital marketing at Fifth Third Bank. Hall previously served as senior director of marketing at Carrington College.

In their new roles, both Hall and Lang will report to chief performance officer Kimberly Demaree.

Griswold Home Care appoints new vice president of company-owned offices

Griswold Home Care has named Christina Sommerfield vice president of company-owned offices.

Griswold currently provides personal care services across 200 locations in 30 states. The franchiser also offers hospice care at some of its locations, plus an array of other services aimed at enabling aging in place.

Prior to her recent appointment, Sommerfield was vice president of operations at Aveanna Healthcare, one of the nation’s largest providers of pediatric home care.

Sommerfield was brought in to help grow Griswold’s company-owned offices, which are located throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey.

“Our company-owned offices have always performed well,” Michael Slupecki, Griswold Home Care CEO, said in a statement. “Christina is inheriting a vibrant team that is flexible and willing to engage with new ideas in an increasingly competitive marketplace.”

Slupecki recently touched on Griswold’s company-owned offices during a one-on-one interview with Home Health Care News.

HCAOA names chair of its Connecticut chapter

Mark McGoldrick has been appointed chair of the Home Care Association of America’s (HCAOA) Connecticut chapter.

The Washington, D.C.-based HCAOA represents nearly 3,000 in-home care companies that employ more than 500,000 caregivers.

Currently, McGoldrick owns six Comfort Keepers franchises throughout Connecticut. He previously served as chairman of the HCAOA Connecticut legislative and public policy committee.

“Throughout his career in home care, Mark has demonstrated a continuing commitment to the Connecticut home care industry, agencies, caregivers and the people they serve,” Vicki Hoak, HCAOA executive director, said in a statement. “The home care industry in Connecticut has been under tremendous pressure from policy makers and others, but Mark has helped develop and lead the Chapter’s response and other initiatives.”
