What is known about Stellarons at the time of the release of version 1.0 of Honkai Star Rail
The protagonist of Honkai: Star Rail is a Pathfinder who travels the galaxy on the Star Express. You will visit many interesting locations to reveal their secrets and fight dangerous opponents. Little is known about the Pioneer himself, so information has to be collected bit by bit. During the passage of the prologue, you control Kafka, who is busy searching for the mysterious Stellaron, from which the Pathfinder is created.
What is Stellaron?
Stellarons, also known as the Tumor of All Worlds, are mysterious semi-sentient objects that are associated with all the events taking place in the story campaign of Honkai: Star Rail. Gerta, a brilliant scientist who created the Virtual Universe and her own space station, says that Stellarons are intelligent objects with great power. They are tied to the Path of a particular Aeon. For example, Destruction or Preservation.
Stellarons are most often found on planets with a large concentration of people, due to their ability to grant wishes. Having determined the prevailing desire of the planet, Stellaron takes action and fulfills the desires of people. Disasters occur as a result of this, as Stellaron grants wishes according to his wording without thinking of the consequences.
For example, the first planet visited by the Pathfinder with the Star Express team is Yarilo-VI. A planet shrouded in an endless blizzard. The cause of this blizzard is Stellaron, which twisted the will of the planet’s inhabitants to stop the Antimatter Legion from invading the planet.
Stellaron on Yarilo-VI is tied to the Aeon Klipot the Guardian. With the power of the Path of Preservation, he froze the planet, making life outside of the main city of Belobog impossible. While Stellaron was able to stop the Antimatter Legion’s invasion, he also brought untold destruction to the planet in the form of Everwinter.
Due to their immense power, no one has found a way to destroy Stellaron. Instead, he managed to be contained; however, in the end, Stellaron manages to get out of captivity, so to pacify him, you will have to resort to other measures.
What is Fragmentum?
Stellaron can corrupt the minds of humans, turning them into creatures known as Fragmentum monsters. The Fragmentum is a special form of corruption that slowly eats away at the planet, turning living and inanimate objects into Fragmentum Crystals.
Kokoliya, the Supreme Guardian of Belobog, from a young age was spoiled by Stellaron, who fell on Yarilo-VI. However, instead of continuing Stellaron’s quest to protect the planet, Cocolia saw the planet destroyed by the Fragmentum and ultimately decided to completely destroy it and rebuild it from scratch.
Where did the Stellarons come from?
Even though the Stellarons are tied to a specific Aeon path, little is known about their origins. It is something like scientific anomalies that appear in moments of need, when people from planets in distress need urgent help. For example, as it happened on Yarilo-VI.
The true nature of the Stellarons and their origin will most likely be revealed later in the next story chapters.
Who are the Stellaron Hunters?
At the beginning of the game, before you create the Pathfinder, you will see the history of the Stellaron Hunters, Kafka and the Silver Wolf. Not much is known about this group, but it seems that their goal is to find Stellarons bound to planets throughout the galaxy. Prior to the events of the game, they managed to find several of them.
Despite the danger posed by the Stellarons, the Hunters travel to the planets and try to extract them by fighting the Fragmentum. However, their true goals are still unknown; we don’t know exactly why the Hunters need Stellarons or what they do with them.
While there is no widely accepted method for destroying Stellaron, it is possible that the Hunters have already invented one.
The Stellaron hunters are led by a man named Elio, whom Gert describes as a maniac trying to find all the most dangerous objects in the universe. This description, although biased, changes the idea of the Hunters. If their leader is a sociopathic maniac, how can the group have good intentions?
For now, one can only guess about the true nature of the Stellaron Hunters. But we can say with confidence that more information will appear in the new story updates of the game.
