5 Genshin Impact Heroes Who Deserve to Become Legends.

Genshin Impact Heroes

There are characters in Genshin Impact who, after just one cutscene, look like future legends. Then you open their in-game page and see those four stars. And this raises a logical question: did the developers accurately distribute hero rarities, and not just throw darts at a board? Let’s explore which 4-star characters in Genshin Impact could have become five-stars, and why this pains us a little.

Fischl, Princess of Condemnation.

According to the official lore, Fischl works for the Mondstadt Adventurers’ Guild and travels with Oz the Raven. Fischl herself, however, is Amy, an ordinary girl so fascinated by her favorite book that she literally built her entire identity around it. And yes, her pompous manner of speech isn’t just a joke: behind the image of the Princess of Condemnation lies a rather touching story about a teenager who longed to be someone more.

Fischl, Princess of Condemnation in Genshin Impact

Her mechanics perfectly match her character: Fischl isn’t forced to stand on the field and fire a bow. She summons her loyal familiar and continues to deal damage from behind the scenes. This allows her to remain useful in a huge number of teams, and her presence is felt even after Fischl herself has long since disappeared.

But most importantly, she has the potential for a truly insane five-star skin. Imagine a five-star Fischl who finally stops being just a girl with a raven and transforms the Princess of Condemnation skin into a fully-fledged combat concept: a true master of Nirvana Night, with Oz at the center of her mechanics.

Fischl already feels like a character the developers once forgot to give five stars to. And the funniest thing is, she wouldn’t even need any lore explanation. She’ll explain it all to you in 17 minutes, using at least four metaphors, three made-up titles, and one Oz.

Faruzan, the Enigmatic Mechanic

Faruzan was an Academy researcher, a specialist in ancient mechanisms and languages, and one of the founders of the study of ancient mechanics. She disappeared while exploring the ruins and spent nearly a hundred years there, returning at almost the same age she had when she arrived. During this time, her scientific legacy became the foundation for subsequent generations of researchers.

Professor Faruzan in Genshin Impact

Faruzan was an Academy researcher, a specialist in ancient mechanisms and languages, and one of the founders of the study of ancient mechanics. She disappeared while exploring the ruins and spent nearly a hundred years there, returning at almost the same age she had when she arrived. During this time, her scientific legacy became the foundation for subsequent generations of researchers.

So imagine this: you’re a person from the 21st century. You fell asleep in 1926. You woke up in 2026. You went outside and discovered that your research papers were still being used at universities. And then some freshman says to you:

– Well, actually, your methods are outdated.

After this, Faruzan will likely invent a new type of weapon of mass destruction. And her character perfectly complements the story: behind the arrogant “Madame Faruzan” lies a person who lost an entire century of her own life and found herself in a world where her name was gradually forgotten.

In combat, Faruzan is essentially a specialized Anemo support character: he increases Anemo damage, reduces enemy resistance, and unlocks the potential of characters like Wanderer and Xiao. And here’s where a strange paradox arises: Faruzan, according to lore, is a legendary scholar. In the story, he’s a man who survived for a century. In gameplay, he’s one of Anemo’s key specialized support characters. And all of this—4.

Rosary, Crown of Grace

Rosaria is a sister of the Church of Favonia, but… well, let’s just say she’s not exactly a model nun. Rosaria barely participates in church life, preferring to work independently and has a very peculiar attitude toward Mondstadt and its inhabitants. And if you dig deeper, things get even more interesting.

Rosary Crown of Grace in Genshin Impact

Rosaria grew up in a band of bandits, was rescued by Varka, and eventually found herself entangled with the Church. She doesn’t fit the mold of a typical Mondstadt heroine: she seems more like someone kept by the Church in case they need to do something respectable knights prefer not to ask.

Her current gameplay already emphasizes her role as a stealthy fighter: Rosaria teleports behind the enemy with an elemental skill, dealing Cryo damage, and her elemental explosion creates an area of constant Cryo damage. She can also transfer a portion of her critical hit chance to her team.

Five-star Rosaria could be made into a character who truly relies on positioning, critical hits, and surprise attacks. Give her a more complex chase mechanic, strengthen her connection to the Chantry, and show a side of Mondstadt usually hidden behind songs, wine, and Venti’s endless chatter

Because if there’s a woman in the city who walks around the rooftops at night and hunts down suspicious characters, she clearly shouldn’t look like an extra character from a 10 Prayers banner.

Ifa, Following the Wandering Wind

Ifa, Following the Wandering Wind in Genshin Impact

Ifa is a veterinarian from the Flowerfeather Tribe in Natlan, working with both animals and humans. In version 5.6, HoYoverse introduced him as a 4-star catalyst, focusing on aerial combat, healing, and reaction boosts. But it’s the gameplay that really sets him apart.

Ifa doesn’t feel like just another simple character added to fill out a four-star roster. She can levitate, move around, heal her team, and simultaneously buff certain reactions. Yes, it feels like a poor man’s Chaska at times, but it feels like the developers really took the idea seriously.

“Let’s make a vet who flies, shoots a catalyst, heals the team, and boosts reactions.”

And for some reason, they decided that four stars would be enough. A five-star Ifa could be transformed into a full-fledged aerial fighter with unique controls, where you literally spend part of the battle above ground.

The situation is made even more strange by the fact that, upon release, Aifa received one of the most powerful and touching quests in the entire game. And then he was simply forgotten. But Varesa was released alongside him, and for some reason, she received a legendary rarity. Was it worth it? I don’t think so.

Lila, Wonderful Evening Star

And now for Laila, my personal favorite and the biggest pet peeve of the list, as the heroine perfectly fits my archetype. She’s a Darshan Rtavahist student at Sumeru Academy, studying theoretical astrology. She’s chronically sleep-deprived due to her studies, suffers from stress, and yet manages to do incredible things in her sleep.

Sarah, Ka Ming, and Amber could have also made this list, but the aforementioned names still edged them out. Which of them, in your opinion, deserves five stars?
