Valheim isn’t just a captivating survival game about bearded Vikings. It’s an entire virtual world with its own rules and laws. Harsh, beautiful, not particularly friendly to newcomers, but incredibly enticing. And today, I’ll help you make your adventures in this world a little easier and more varied.
In this guide, I’ll explain how to use console commands in Valheim. With them, you can completely customize the game and make it your own. So, get comfortable—we’re hopping on a longship and heading off on another adventure!
How to use Valheim console commands.
To mod the game, you’ll definitely need to figure out how to open the console. This is where you’ll enter the necessary Valheim console commands.
The steps to activate the console are:
- Go to Steam.
- Open your library and find Valheim in it.
- Right-click on the game name and select “Properties”.
- Go to the “General” tab and look for the “Launch Options” field there.
- Enter “-console” (without quotes) directly in this field.
- Close all tabs and enter the game; the command line is available.
Now you can activate the console in the game by pressing F5. Then, enter “devcommands” and press Enter. Voila—codes are now available!
However, keep in mind that the console command will only work reliably in single-player mode.
