Sam Porter is in his personal quarters: wash up, and if you want, you can change your appearance at the same sink. After that, leave the room – a cutscene with Fragile will start. Now open your map and find the current mission marker. It’s located southwest of the DHV Magellan. Once you pass through the gate, you’ll find yourself in a territory in Australia. You won’t be able to return to Mexico until the end of Episode 3, but that shouldn’t be a problem. After that, once fast travel is unlocked, you’ll be able to revisit previously unlocked Mexican facilities and max out your connection with them.
Note: Don’t bring a vehicle with you – you won’t be able to get it through the Rift Gate, and you’ll have to leave it behind in Mexico. So abandon the ship and head straight south, up the valley, between the mountains. The path will be completely linear, and there should be literally nothing to stop you.
Once you reach the top, you’ll have a great view of the Rift Gate. Head down to the open area in front of the gate and approach the quest marker. Interact with the terminal to trigger a cutscene. Then head into the Rift and a cutscene will begin with a transition to Australia.
Finding yourself on a completely new continent, at first you won’t be able to do much, because you don’t know anything about this place. Go forward to the mission marker – there will be a terminal there, the same as in front of the Rift gate on the Mexican side. Use the cupid to activate it. Now a small piece of Australia is connected to the network. This will complete the current mission. After the cutscene with Fragile, go around the boulder and board the DHV Magellan to trigger several cutscenes in which you will be introduced to the mysterious talking mannequin Charlie. Order 09 – Deliver the Chiral Decontaminator to the Government base
You’ll be heading to the Government base located north of your current location. However, before you set off, there are a few important things to remember: you’ll be moving through an area with many narrow passages carved into the ground. And, what’s worse, it’s a zone with Creatures (the same BTs that stand for Coastal Creatures). And the worst part is that these are brand new Creatures that are extremely dangerous. We’re carrying a very heavy load, so you won’t be able to spread out with your gear… unless you want to go at a snail’s pace. I recommend bringing 2-3 Blood Grenades (2-3 sets) and an MF Assault Rifle to deal with the new Beasts. Also bring a ladder – you’ll almost certainly need it.
So, let’s start fulfilling the order. Leave the Magellan ship (don’t take transport – it will only get in the way) and, going down the slope, you will find the same area with narrow passages that was mentioned above. Go down there. Note: you can bypass this area by moving to the river in the west, but it will take much longer. In addition, you should get used to the new Creatures as soon as possible, because they will be encountered throughout Australia in the future.
Once you’re in the area, continue north. There’s nothing else to worry about here except the Beast. Now, let’s talk about these new Beasts. Be sure to keep an eye on the Odradek (that device on Porter’s shoulder). It shows the direction the Beasts are heading and how close they are. The more it clicks, the closer they are. It also shows the closest Beast. Unlike the “normal” Listener Beasts from Mexico, which just float and move occasionally, the new ones are more noticeable by their sinister green eyes. They really are creepy. And unlike the previous ones, which only noticed you when you made noise or got too close, these monsters can see you. They barely move and their vision is short, but the fact that they can see is already scary. If they spot you, they’ll come closer and then call a “hunter” or “catcher” (I don’t remember the exact name). This is the Creature that bursts out of the ground, pours black resin all around and tries to drown Sam Porter. If this happens and you feel like you can’t get out of the resin, try to destroy the monster with a rifle or blood grenades. As for the green-eyed BTs, I recommend throwing two blood grenades at them. They won’t kill the Beast right away, but you’ll be able to finish the monster off with just a few extra shots. It’s better to do this than to pump whole clips into the Beasts: they’re very tenacious. And the longer they live, the higher the chance that they’ll have time to summon a hunter.
So, move carefully through this area, if possible, without deviating from the path. You don’t want to kill too many Beasts – just those that are really blocking the passage. After you leave the dangerous area, you will reach a river. I don’t know if there will be temporal rain in your case – maybe it’s random – but I had it, and the river was quite wide and turbulent. You need to cross it in any case. In the middle of the river, find a small rock on which you can place a ladder. In principle, you can cross the river without it, but you will end up on the verge of exhaustion of stamina.
After crossing, head to the mission marker. There you will find the Authority base. It is camouflaged in the same way as Sam’s hideout, so at first it will seem like there are just huge boulders here instead of an object. When you get there, interact with the terminal and deliver the chiral decontaminator – this will trigger a series of cutscenes in which you connect this structure to the network. Excellent! Once that’s done, you can move on to the next quest. However, at this point, your first proper side quests will become available – these are called “Additional Orders” in the game, and are never repeated like the standard ones, and are usually not as simple as “Assistance Requests” from targets. You can ignore them for now, but it’s much better to complete these orders as they appear to earn new gear and level up Sam.
In this case, I highly recommend completing the side quest before the main one. You’ll get a cool new weapon for it. Side quest number 100 actually forces you to complete three side missions, so do them to get the sleep sniper rifles – regular, light and silent light (three options), and then you can continue with the main orders. Order 10 – [Cleanup] Free the Western Ecological Observatory from raiders
Before moving on to the main task, you can take on the first additional assignment under number 100 – “Deliver the disassembled rifle to the Lone Commander.” Completing this mission will give you a powerful tool for stealth: a sniper rifle with sleeping rounds. It allows you to neutralize enemies at a long distance silently and effectively. In addition, you will receive a smoke grenade, which will help you out in an emergency retreat from a dangerous area.
As for Order 010 itself, your goal here is to clear the Western Ecological Observatory of a raider squad and regain control of the location. Serious resistance is expected: about 8-10 opponents have settled in the base, so prepare thoroughly. Although weapons can be picked up during the battle, it is better not to rely on chance: collect a couple of assault rifles in advance, do not forget grenades and be sure to grab blood bags with you – they will come in handy in any scenario.
The destination is just 600 meters northwest of the Government base. Along the way, you will encounter shallow rivers that can be crossed on foot, by swimming, by stairs or by ready-made bridges built by other players online. The main difficulty of the task is neutralizing enemies. You can try to go quietly, but if you prefer to act openly, this is also quite acceptable, especially with good equipment or at a low difficulty level.
Scanning will be an indispensable assistant here. Use the L1 button to highlight nearby enemies. Pay special attention to the lookout on the watchtower. He controls a searchlight that continuously scans the area. Getting caught in the beam of light immediately raises the alarm, and a stealthy approach is no longer an option. Therefore, the tower should be your first target. Another bandit patrols at its base – start with him, avoiding getting caught in the light.
Once you’ve cleared the path, head up to the tower and take out the person operating the spotlight. This will not only give you a view of the entire area, but also a great spot for sniping. If you prefer a noisy approach, start the fight from here using a rifle or cannon if you already have the necessary plans.
For fans of stealth, the tower will also be useful: from it you can scan the entire base and mark the location of enemies. Then it remains to go down and begin a methodical cleanup, neutralizing enemies one by one with the help of a rope. In case of a lack of equipment, do not forget to re-scan the area – you can often find useful loot dropped by enemies or hidden in MULE boxes. After the entire area is cleared, a mark of the nearest terminal will appear on the map. Head there – Peter Gates will be waiting for you. After a short scene, the Western Ecological Observatory will be connected to the chiral network. Order 11 – Destroy the communications jammer and deliver the mysterious recordings to the Musician
Assignment 011 is a bit more challenging, as you’ll need to solve two tasks at once. First, you’ll need to infiltrate a fortified raider camp and neutralize the source of interference, then deliver an important shipment to the recipient. Even if you’re used to stealth missions, you should stock up on weapons and blood: this mission could go awry. Assault rifles remain a universal choice, but if you’ve already completed side mission #100, you’ll be able to add a sniper rifle with sleep ammo to your arsenal, a useful tool for eliminating enemies from a safe distance.
It’s also time to pay attention to the recently unlocked exoskeleton – the combat circuit. It allows Sam to move faster, withstand more damage, and carry larger loads with less effort. To craft it, you will need 120 polymers, 120 ceramics, and 40 chemicals. In addition, do not forget about the mandatory cargo – 23-kilogram mysterious notes, which you will have to carry with you until the end of the mission.
The first stage is a raider camp, located about 630 meters northeast of the Western Ecological Observatory. The route there is quite simple: on flat terrain, without rivers and serious obstacles, if you do not turn into the western hills. But the problems will begin as soon as you enter the camp: there are many enemies and almost no shelters. Stealth will be difficult, so first of all you need to eliminate the guard on the watchtower. Inside the camp, there are areas with tall grass – excellent cover from which you can wait, lure out enemies and neutralize them with a rope. But if you prefer a direct confrontation, use the open area to the maximum: you can set up a generator near the camp, lure enemies there and use electroshock by pressing “square” at close range. Sniper fire on enemies from a distance is also effective. Do not forget to regularly scan the area (L1 button) to see enemies and useful items.
However, a complete clearing of the camp is not a mandatory condition. The main target is the communication jammer in the center, near the large tents. There are two ways to destroy it. Hack it manually: go to the device and hold down the “square” button. Warning – any hit will interrupt the process. Physically destroy: shoot or smash in close combat. But this method will immediately attract the attention of all enemies nearby.
So, if you don’t want to engage in combat, you can try to sneak up to the jammer. But this is a risky move – stealth is hard in this area, and in most cases it makes more sense to clear the camp first, and then destroy the jammer.
The second part of the task is to deliver mysterious records to the Musician. He lives about a kilometer from the camp, closer to the northeast. The good news is that the road to him is practically safe. There are no Creatures, no enemy posts, no rivers. The only obstacle is the climb into the mountainous area.
As you approach the mountains, the path will become littered with boulders and debris. To stay on track, use the green grass as a guide – it forms a clear path leading to the Musician’s hideout. Just follow it – and you’ll soon find yourself at your destination.
Inside, you will be met by Gen Hoshino, the same Musician. Give him the recordings. The number of likes you receive will depend on the condition of the cargo: the base reward is 242 likes, if the damage is less than 5% – an additional +645 likes and an S rating, an MF shotgun as a new weapon, 20 points to unlock the ASAD skills.
In addition, you will unlock a new side quest – #103 “[Fragile Cargo] Recover the Stolen Record Collection”. Order 12 – Investigate the unusual resin streams near F1
The next mission can be accepted via the terminal at the Musician’s base. Your goal is to reach a mysterious area with resin streams near the city of F1, which is still not connected to the chiral network. It is located to the west, and to cope with the mission, it is worthwhile to thoroughly prepare. Collect combat gear, stock up on blood, take your most reliable weapons with you. MF assault rifles will be especially useful – they are effective against armor and allow you to quickly respond to threats. Do not forget to equip a combat exoskeleton – it will help you move faster and protect you from some damage. At close range, the MF shotgun can also be useful, but given its limited range, submachine guns or heavy automatic weapons will be a good alternative. If possible, grab blood grenades as well. Your path lies to the west, and the distance to the target is about 1250 meters. Descending from a hill makes movement easier – especially if you use a tricruiser. But if you decide to walk, be careful in areas with loose rocks and near cliffs.
Right before the city of F1, there is a wide river separating you from the tar zone. Try not to go into deep areas – the scanner can easily determine the water level: blue areas are safe, red ones are dangerous. Also keep in mind that the water level may rise during rain. If you cross the river by transport, do not use acceleration – the battery will discharge faster. After crossing the river, closer to the tar, a story scene awaits you with the appearance of a mysterious creature and its leader. Then the battle begins.
Boss fight in order 012
A new enemy will appear in the arena – a huge biomechanical monster, outwardly resembling an octopus, and sometimes even a spider. It is armed with massive limbs and surrounded by viscous resin, which makes movement difficult. The main weak points are the joints on the tentacles, glowing with red-orange rings. Try to concentrate fire on these places – with a successful hit, you can immobilize the limb. Assault rifles are ideal for this.

After you destroy one of the limbs, the mech will fall to the ground for a while, opening up access to other weak points. Use this moment to deal damage at close range – shotguns or blood grenades will come in handy. There is another weak point in the head area – the eye in the center. There are two rotating orange targets on the back of the creature, shoot them while the boss is stunned.
The enemy has several dangerous attacks. One of them is a sharp side kick: it lifts the body and throws it to the ground, causing serious damage. As soon as you see movement in the abdominal part, run to the side. Another attack is a sliding strike with a tentacle, sweeping away everything in its path. To avoid it, hide on the debris or just move away from the attack zone. The fight is based on cyclicality: inflict damage on vulnerable areas, knock the mech to the ground, attack, and repeat until it disappears into the tar abyss. If you run out of ammunition, look for weapons and supplies along the edges of the arena – they are scattered specifically for such cases. Activate the scanner to find them faster.
Defeating the mech clears the way to F1. Enter the building and use the terminal to contact Olivia Westbury and complete the mission. The object will finally connect to the network. The reward depends on how much damage Sam suffered during the fight. You will be given likes, and with minimal damage – an additional portion, as well as an S rating. In addition, you will receive a new type of transport – an air transporter that uses chiral crystals and can fly next to you or your vehicle, carrying heavy loads. After completing the mission, exit the building and a cutscene featuring Fragile will immediately begin. Order 013 can be activated via the terminal at Magellan Station. This time, you will have to go to the mine, which is located northeast of F1, at a distance of about 1244 meters. The mission is not particularly difficult, but without a set of necessary resources, you will not be able to complete the key part of the assignment. All you need is 320 units of polymers and 720 units of special alloys. The good news is that you will receive all the necessary materials during the mission. You will be given three containers: two with different volumes of special alloys and one with polymers. No additional searches – just deliver everything to the mine.

As for chiral crystals, you will need exactly 2000 units. Most likely, by this point you have already accumulated enough, because they do not take up space in the backpack and do not weigh down Sam. But if the supplies are still meager, you can collect them in advance from previously connected objects, or explore the surroundings of F1 – especially the area around the mine, where more than a thousand crystals are easily mined. They look like golden palms sticking out of the ground. Use the scanner (L1) to highlight such areas when approaching.
Take care of transport. You can prepare it either at Magellan or in the F1 garage. In a multiplayer game, you can even use another player’s car. When everything is ready, move along the main road north of F1 – it is quite flat and allows you to cover a significant distance in comfort. The main difficulty is the area with thick tar between the city and the destination. In addition, this area is often home to chiral insects that can damage your equipment.
There are two options for getting to the mine. The first is to cut through a chain of islands that lead straight to the goal. This is a risky but short route: there is less resin there, but there is a high chance of running into aggressive bugs. In this case, it is better to drive through the section at high speed. The second way is to go around, along the eastern shore. It will take more time, but it is safer and calmer. Once at the mine, go to the terminal to hand over all the necessary resources. This will activate the equipment and allow you to start mining. If you do not have the required amount of chiral crystals yet, now is the time to start collecting them. When the number reaches 2000, return to the terminal, select the “Mine” option and exchange the crystals for 4800 units of special alloy. Next, open the monorail menu. Load all the received cargo onto the transport platform. Then add your car and Sam himself to the composition – this is the most convenient way to return to the city. In addition to the main portion of likes, you will receive additional ones for restoring the mine and delivering cargo, access to the monorail system, a new SUV, a battery module for the backpack, an increase in overall throughput, an increase in available materials and points for upgrading APAS – all this provided that your connection with the object has reached level two. After that, head back to the Magellan. There, Fragile will share important information about Lou’s past – this will be accompanied by a long scene. Order 14 – Deliver all information equipment to Rainbow Valley
This time, you’ll be transporting a hefty amount of gear from the terminal in F1 City to the next key point, Rainbow Valley, which is about 1,300 meters to the northeast. The load weighs 120 kilograms, which is probably the heaviest load Sam has ever handled. Since this is almost at the limit of his capabilities, the logical choice is to use the recently unlocked pickup truck. You can build one in the F1 garage, or if you’re connected to the network, you can use someone else’s vehicle.

Although the SUV is inferior to the tricruiser in speed and maneuverability, its main advantage is the ability to transport really large consignments of cargo. Despite the slow movement, it will cope with the task perfectly. Just remember that acceleration quickly discharges the battery, especially on long sections of the road. Fortunately, if you play online, other players may have already placed charging stations nearby. The path begins with overcoming the river surrounding the F1. Of course, you can try to ford it, right in the pickup, but it is safer to use the bridge that is being built a little to the east. This is part of the training project proposed by Olivia Westbury, and even in offline mode, the necessary materials will be available at the terminal. Just invest in the construction – and crossing the river will be a matter of a couple of minutes. The next section of the route is an open area, with the Beasts lurking between you and the mountainous region that contains Rainbow Valley. The most direct route is through their territory, so be prepared to either fight your way through or rely on skill and luck. There is a more cautious option. Instead of going straight ahead, you can follow the river you just crossed. Keep south and west, then turn north. When the riverbed begins to bend east, you’ll be in the area. This route is longer, but is more likely to avoid direct contact with the Beasts.
When approaching Rainbow Valley, be prepared for rough terrain: rocks, debris, and boulders can make it difficult to move, especially with heavy equipment. Avoid obstacles, and you will soon reach the base. After delivering the cargo, Glenn Rain will assess the condition of the containers and reward you – it all depends on their safety. As a reward, you will receive a certain number of likes, a bonus for good delivery condition, a new Tar Cannon, and points for the ASAD system.
However, the mission does not end there. You need to climb a hill located about two hundred meters from the base to meet a new ally from the “Drobridge” group. There is a passage through the canyon, and the only obstacle is a narrow section of the river. It can be crossed without much difficulty. When you get to the goal, you will be greeted by an unusual scene: a musical introduction and an introduction to a new heroine named Tuchka. After a short dialogue, you will be automatically transferred back to the “Magellan”.
